VPN Outage Planned for Friday’s Maintenance Window

SWOCA will be upgrading our VPN service this Friday, February 3, during our normal maintenance window from 5:00-7:00 PM. During this time, remote access via VPN will be unavailable. Any VPN connections active at that time will be disconnected.

Once the work is complete, users will likely be prompted to upgrade their Cisco Any-Connect client the next time they connect to the VPN. This upgrade should take just a few minutes.

We expect the total down time to be about 20 minutes, starting pretty close to 5 PM.

This will impact the transmission of ACH files to Fifth Third Bank and PNC Bank.  We ask that you refrain from running the PAYDIR program during this time.

Also, we are slating a core firewall upgrade for SUNDAY, FEBURARY 12th between the hours of 10 AM and 1 PM. Internet services to all districts will be offline, as will accessibility to our services from the Internet. During this window, all SWOCA services, and services hosted at your district, will be inaccessible from the public internet. Remote VPN and SWOCA services will still be available from district locations during this maintenance.

Further details will be shared on each outage as the windows approach.
