Be wary of emails from employees asking you to change their ACH information. Recently local districts have been the target of an email scam. The email appears to be sent from a district employee. In most cases, the email appears to come from an administrator.
If you receive an email from an employee asking you to update their ACH information, check the email address of the sender. Compare this address to the address you have in the employee file.
Do not send a response to the original email. You should contact the employee by phone (using a phone number you have in the employee's file) or in person to verify the change.
